Febe (Phoebe) is the name of one of Saturn’s moons, but the art of Fabiola Frusone, who chose it as a pseudonym for signing her works, elicits memories of a planet more similar to Earth, as she navigates the landscapes of the soul from depths of the abyss to the highest peaks, without neglecting anything in between.  Her lines, shapes, spaces, and the sense of movement in her paintings, almost always without border or frame, evoke a sense of free spirit constantly in search of new worlds to explore, both within and without.

Fabiola was born in Rome in 1965 (where she lives currently) into an open and stimulating family environment, encouraging her curiosity so that over time it has become desire to experience and understand realities very distant from her own. For this she devoted herself to the study of languages. But the spirit constantly attuned to beauty, which still draws her back to remain enchanted in the presence of natural phenomena or great works of art, feeds a certain dissatisfaction that has become a research into forms of expression that transcend language and go beyond words.

Since she had always been interested in all forms of art, she starts a path in the 90s that brings her closer to painting, experimenting with different techniques: watercolor, oil, charcoal, acrylic and mixed media. "Working different materials with a brush or spatula or my hands, to give shape to my thoughts, my feelings ..." it becomes her main work. She uses canvas as pages of a diary and realizes how well this captures the movement of her soul in certain periods…..

Through the insistence of friends and admires she manages to overcome inner conflicts, and in 2011 the persona Febe was born, the artistic pseudonym with which, from then on, she signs her work. She began to exhibit at some galleries and exhibitions in Rome. Finally, at the end of August 2014, had the privilege to inaugurate her first solo exhibition "Dreams and Signs" sponsored by the City of Gioiosa Ionica, which made the splendid court of the 19th-century Palazzo Amaduri available for the occasion.
